The KIC Spectrum™ optional process improvement software automatically performs the following functions:

1. Collection of 3 sets of data from the initial profile run
* Furnace setpoints
* Desired process window (i.e. peak temperature)
* Profile data from the surface of the solar cell
2. Measures mathematically (with a single number) how well the profile fits the established process window
3. Evaluates millions of possible furnace setups and recommends the one setup that yields the optimum profile for your application

Spectrum positions the profile in the "sweet spot" of the process window within a few seconds. There are 3 optimization criteria that may be selected:

* Center the process (sweet spot)
* Maximize conveyor speed
* Combination of the two above
