| PRESS RELEASE | For Immediate Release |
(San Diego, CA -- April 20, 2009) : KIC, the leader of thermal process development and control products, and winner of multiple industry awards, announces that Brian O‘Leary will present "7 Ways to Profile for Profitability" during the Central Texas Electronics Association (CTEA) Symposium on May 12, 2009 at the Freescale Semiconductor auditorium in North Austin, Texas.
Understanding the thermal reflow process in an SMT reflow oven has been a subjective event backed by limited data; however, experience and advances in the ability to collect data and deliver it in a graphical and meaningful manner have lead to significant insights into the reflow process. With the collection of meaningful data, the ability to predict setpoints and outcomes of the production of the PCB are becoming even more achievable.
Over the years of working with customers and research institutes, KIC has found that a set of best practices has emerged that have lead to more robust accurate profiles, and that also lay the foundation for predictive modeling that can lead to a host of cost savings benefits to a SMT process.
KIC share these best practices that in today‘s environment all point to the bottom line in "7 Ways to Profile for Profitability." After the 30-minute session, KIC will raffle five copies of a newly released book on profiling that is full of tips and examples on how to improve the process (a $24.99 value).
Brian O‘Leary is the Americas Sales Manager for KIC. Brian brings with him more than a decade of industrial sales, marketing and management experience in North & South America, Mexico and Asia. Prior to joining KIC, Brian worked for Sono-Tek, a manufacturer of spray fluxing equipment where he spent much of his time in Asia working in the overseas operations of Western OEMs and CMs.
The CTEA is a combined chapter of IMAPS and SMTA. The Symposium will run from approximately 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., with 30 to 60+ people expected to attend.
