KIC Press Release April 10, 2009 - KIC to Present During SMTA Atlanta 2009

(San Diego, CA -- April 10, 2009) : KIC, the leader of thermal process development and control products, and winner of multiple industry awards, announces that Brian O‘Leary, its Americas Sales Manager and Mike Limberg, its Service Tech, will present "7 Ways to Profile Profitability" at the upcoming 13th Annual Atlanta Expo, scheduled to take place Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Gwinnett Civic Center in Duluth, Georgia.

Understanding the thermal reflow process has been a subjective event backed by limited data; however, experience and advances in the ability to collect data and deliver the data in a graphical and meaningful manner have lead to significant insights into the reflow process.

Working with customers and research institutes over the years, KIC has found that a set of "best practices" has immerged that lead to more robust accurate profiles, but that also lay the foundation for predictive modeling that can lead to host of cost savings and quality benefits to a SMT process.

KIC will be sharing these best practices that in today‘s environment all point to the bottom line in "7 Ways to Profile for Profitability." After the 45-minute session, KIC will be distributing a newly released book on profiling to the first 15 visitors, full of tips and examples on how to improve a company‘s process (a $26 value).

Brian O‘Leary brings with him more than a decade of industrial sales, marketing and management experience in North and South America, Mexico and Asia. Prior to joining KIC, Brian worked for Sono-Tek as a manufacturer of spray fluxing equipment where he spent much of his time in Asia working in the overseas operations of Western OEMs and CMs.

Michael Limberg is a Service Technician for KIC, responsible for customers in North America. Mike has been involved in manufacturing for almost 20 years, at Intel Corp. and Seika USA before joining KIC. Prior to SMT, his background was in automation and medical research, which has given Mike a focused and methodical perspective in troubleshooting.
