KIC Adds Animation, Data Acquisition and Data Intelligence to Its Web Site

(San Diego, CA -- January 9, 2007) : KIC, the leader of thermal process development and control products, and winner of multiple industry awards, announces the addition of animation on its home page, located at www.kicthermal.com, to illustrate the new automatic profiling system.

The redesigned Web page also introduces new product categories to better depict the value and functionality of various products. The new KIC Vision, priced equivalent to a manual profiler, uses embedded sensor technology to automatically "photograph" the product profile as frequently as once every hour.

To help customers better navigate the myriad of profilers and continuous process monitoring systems available from KIC and other vendors, the products are broken down into data acquisition vs. data intelligence categories.

Data Acquisition: A traditional profiler is a data acquisition tool that collects hard-to-get information on the temperature vs. time aspect of the thermal process. Users make manual process and production decisions based on such data.

Data Intelligence: These types of products and software solutions process the acquired data to provide value added in the forms of process optimization, traceability, automatic profiling, real-time SPC, etc. that improve quality, productivity and client relations. For example, the process optimization software KIC Auto-Focus "googles" the billions of alternative oven recipes and automatically selects the most appropriate oven setup for each application, BEFORE running a single profile.
