KIC Press Release April 6, 1998 - KIC Announces Free, Downloable Software for Full-Color Thermal Profile Viewing

(San Diego, CA -- April 6, 1998) : KIC Thermal Profiling announces the availability of a new software package that allows users to view reflow oven profiling data in full color. The 920Kb viewer file may be downloaded without cost from KIC‘s website and installed on a PC. Profile data may then be emailed and viewed as if the user were observing it directly on the oven‘s monitor.

The new viewer supports multiple remote applications, such as enabling oven purchasers to preview a system‘s capabilities prior to shipment from the manufacturer. Contract assemblers may also use the viewer to obtain profile approval from their customers prior to production run. The e-mailed data allows users to review full-color information on peak temperatures, maximum slope and time above liquidus.
