Live Data Output

Engineers have for years been able to access real-time process and production data in most parts of the assembly line. The data can then be used on remote computers for Statistical Process Control, documentation, or a variety of other applications. KIC’s Live Data Output software enables you to do the same with your thermal process data. The Prophet System will, with only a seconds delay, continuously send data to a file or another application. The data may be accessed by Excel, SPC, or other applications you employ to calculate a variety of process values. This includes the process temperatures, and "Average and Maximum Deviation Data".

Statistical Process Control

KIC has put the power of Statistical Process Control into the realm of thermal process management.

QC-Calc completely automates real-time data collection, management, and analysis of temperature measurements reported by KIC’s Prophet Thermal Manager.

SPC analyses of thermal process temperature distributions over time are now possible and can be reported on Xbar-Range, Process Capability (CpK), Pareto, Correlation and Regression charts through the use of a flexible report generator included with the QC-Calc software.

Auto-Predict

This feature enables SlimKIC and Prophet users to maximize throughput, or to operate the oven in the center of an established process window. All the user needs to do is to enter their desired product profile, and the Auto-Predict feature provides a list of zone set-points and conveyor speed combinations that will achieve the acceptable profile.

The alternative setups are even rated. Auto-Predict will also dramatically reduce set up time and therefore increase productivity. (Works with both SlimKIC and Prophet System).

Board Sensors

This new enhancement to KIC’s Prophet System automatically and continuously tracks conveyor speed, production volume and "lost boards". Conveyor speed changes significantly affect the product profile and thus defect level and product quality. The Board Sensor feature enables the Prophet System to use the actual conveyor speed to calculate each product’s Virtual Profile. This leads to a more accurate virtual profile.

The board sensor enhancement consists of two light switches. One is mounted at the oven entrance, the other at the oven exit. The switches are triggered whenever a board passes over them allowing the Prophet to record; board length, board count, and calculated conveyor speed. This also triggers the Prophet to alarm if a board becomes lost inside the oven.

Animated graphic boards are actually seen on the PC screen as the sensors are activated. You immediately see exactly how many boards are in the oven and where they are located. This data is stored permanently in "history files". The Prophet System’s famous playback features will then identify production volume and oven load during any specific time period. The Board Sensor allows management to have an accurate count of products run during each shift or at any particular time period.

Bar Code Reader

If you are interested in complete thermal production traceability down to each and every individual product, then KIC’s Bar Code Reader is your solution.

The bar code reader is mounted at the entrance of the oven and it reads the serial numbers of each product. Every serial number is date and time stamped. With "Virtual Profiling" enabled, the individual product’s thermal data, e.g. peak temperature, max rising and falling slopes, soak time and more, will automatically be recorded with the specific serial number. By scanning the barcode at any time, this data may be retrieved and displayed from the "history files".
